Multi-Faith Ethos Conference 2018

James, Jasmine, Kitty and Sam were asked to represent school at this year's Multi-Faith Ethos Conference at Bishop Bridgeman CE Primary School in Bolton.  Accompanied by Mrs Cowey and Mrs Edger, the St Luke's team made an early start, arriving just in time for worship led by Bishop Bridgeman pupils.  The rest of the day was filled with unusual and exciting activities to help the children and adults think about others and their different faiths and beliefs.   Bishop Bridgeman Primary is a Church of England School but its pupils come from many different cultural and religious backgrounds, whilst sharing the school's Christian ethos.

Our children experienced cooking a biryani for Eid, writing poety and prayers in pop-up worship areas, playing djembes, riding donkeys, making butterfly lanterns and releasing butterflies, decorating Buddhist darma wheels, and sending peace doves and prayer balloons into the beautiful blue skies over Bolton.

All four children were brilliant ambassadors for our school and were mentioned several times for their friendliness and enthusiastic participation.

In September, the children will be helping to develop child led worship across our school.
