Year 3 Blog 22.04.22

Date: 20th Apr 2022 @ 9:58am

Welcome back everyone!

What a wonderful week we have had! The sun has shone and we have all enjoyed being back together. The children have been bursting with happy stories to tell of their Easter adventures and have leapt into our new topic, "How does your garden grow?" with gusto! Take a look at some of our continuous line drawing studies below. Aren't they impressive!

Next week we will be starting our focus on diary writing using planting sunflowers as our stimulus.

This half term we are really looking forward to our outdoor games sessions as we have a coach from Northern Cricket Club coming in each Thursday to teach us some key skills. Summer must be coming...

3IR will therefore have two PE sessions on Thursday.

3WM , your PE sessions will be Thursday and Friday.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
