Reception Weekly Blog (13. 11. 20)

An astonishing event happened in Reception this week. When we arrived at school on Monday morning a dragon egg had appeared, along with a letter from the grown-up dragon, asking the children to take care of the precious egg! The children have been amazing, making sure the egg is safe and warm, and not disturbed too much.
We enjoyed watching a fantastic service, performed by our Year 6 friends, we sat beautifully and observed two minutes silence to commemorate Remembrance Day. The children have enjoyed creating their own poppy pictures. This week we have been talking to the children about our fundraising for Children in Need and explaining that all children should be able to play, be safe, be happy, healthy and cared for. However, sadly this does not always happen but BBC children in Need works hard to help all children smile.
A BIG thank you for all your fundraising efforts this week.
This weekend is the start of Diwali – the festival of light! The children have enjoyed making their own Diva Lamps, Rangoli and henna patterns.
We introduced the Pentagon this week, when we continued exploring the number 5. If you find anything out about number 5 over the weekend, let us know on a good news slip!
Have a lovely weekend 😊
