Another amazing week in Year One rounded off, in style, with Animal Mufti! The children have so enjoyed their day. More marvellous memories for us.

This week, we began our puppet making, in earnest, and will continue on, next week. We also discussed our old toys and will compare both old and new, next week.

We will also prepare our Toy Museum in readiness for our Year 5 buddy visitors.

Next week, is Children's Mental Health Week and we will complete a number of activities, through the week, with this in mind. As mentioned previously, it is Safer Internet Day, on Tuesday, and we will continue our discussions around this subject.

As well as our Toy Museum, on Thursday, it is International Women and Girls in Science Day, on Friday. Our busy times continue...

Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for your continued support.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
