Welcome back!
Many thanks for your support as the children settle into their new classrooms and routines. We are so proud of them! They have certainly enjoyed sharing their holiday news and exploring their new classroom environment.
This week, we have been very busy, for e.g. thinking about mammals in science, playing parachute games in P.E. and learning how to use the ‘workshop’ areas, for our budding engineers! Please enjoy seeing the photos of some of our fun learning this week!
Home Learning books will come home next week, containing the Homework Grid, for the half term, the CEW (red words) to learn this half term and a number formation sheet.
As mentioned in the email this week reading books will be changed. each Friday - the children have brought home their RWI book from their English lessons this week, plus a ‘linked’ book and a chosen story book for you to share.
Home Learning, for each week, can be found by accessing the Home Learning button on the Year 1 class page. It is situated close to the top of the page.
Fruit and vegetables are provided for the children, each morning. You may, however, choose instead to send your child in with a specific fruit or vegetable from home to enjoy.
If there are any queries, please contact Mrs. Fegan, Miss O’Neill or Mrs. Page via the Year One email.
Many thanks for your continued support,
The Year One Team
