Y2 Weekly Blog (17. 9. 21)

We have had another great week in Year 2, it definitely feels like all of the children have settled back into the routine of school and are impressing us all everyday with their positive attitude to learning and kindness to one another.

We were amazed this week to look at all the homework that came in: the models of homes and the very detailed drawings were of such a high standard and we will be proudly displaying them on the Year 2 corridor and in our classrooms for all the children in school to see.  We have even created a little road ontop of the Key Stage 1 library area where we have placed several models to create our very own 'Year 2 Street'!

On Wednesday, the children enjoyed the sunshine during their outdoor P.E. lesson, continuing to practise their football skills, and on Thursday, they had a chance to use the Speed Stacks; the children really impressed us with their super speedy skills at constructing the 3 x 3 x 3 stacks.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday morning for another fun-filled week!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
