This week in DT, Year 5 have been looking at creating Doodlebots using an electrical circuit and counter-balances to allow their own robotic to create a pattern. They have been wonderful with their efforts creating a range of different patterns. In RE the focus has been on victory and how often the people that come first are not the only people to achieve a victory. This has been tied in with the Easter story and message looking at the victory that Jesus provided giving up his life. For P.E. they have had their final session of Handball for this year an played a tournament between their own class. Art has produced some excellent models using charcoal to create scenes inspired by stage settings. Each child chose their own setting to be inspired by and produce some fascinating Artwork!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
