Friday 10th November

Today, we were able to mark Remembrance Day with a special assembly led by our Y6 children. We were very proud of them all. Thank you for your contributions to the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

This week, we spent time identifying, naming, grouping and describing a variety of animals. We are really looking forward to our visit to Knowsley Safari Park and seeing many of them. We continued our geography mapping work too, creating keys for our classroom maps.

In the week ahead, we look forward to learning even more about the animal kingdom. It will also be Anti Bullying Week and on Monday we are able to participate in the odd socks campaign. Friday is the return of Children in Need and a Mufti day. Lots to look forward to!

Please do contact us should you have any queries.

Have a lovely weekend.

Many thanks for your continued support.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
