Another busy and action-packed week in Y1!
This week the children have started to make their moving vehicles in DT. They have decorated their cardboard boxes using tissue paper. In the next lesson, the children will add their axle holder and wheels to their moving vehicles. Please take a look at the photos of our progress so far!
In maths lessons this week Y1 have been counting to 40 with the help of concrete materials.
Our love for Grandad’s Island in English lessons has continued. Y1 have been writing sentences using adjectives to describe an item in Grandad’s attic. The children also created sentences using ‘but’ when highlighting the importance of Grandad’s objects to him.
Friday 21st March is Comic Relief Red Nose Day 2025; the children will be able to wear their own clothes for this day. The money raised provides an opportunity to support communities around the world.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Have a lovely weekend.
