Year 1 Blog 14.10.22
Date: 14th Oct 2022 @ 2:14pm
Friday 14th October
On Monday, the weather held for us and we were able to enjoy our autumn walk. The children enthusiastically spotted different signs of autumn as well as using their hearing to identify different sounds. We also discussed the physical and human features of our landscape.
Next Monday, it is photographs and the children will need to wear their school uniforms. On Tuesday, we will attend church to celebrate St. Luke’s Day. We will continue our geographical work, as well, thinking about maps and devising some of our own. Thursday brings our first half term to a close. Time certainly flies!
As mentioned last previously, those of you who did not purchase a RWI Set2 and Set3 pack of phonic cards, while in Reception, they are still available to buy via the school Spider. They cost £5.50 and are an updated version of the original pack. They are a wonderful resource to have when supporting the development of your child’s phonic knowledge. It is a resource we use daily in school.
Have a wonderful weekend.
