Year 1 Blog 17.3.23

Date: 17th Mar 2023 @ 3:51pm

Happy St Patrick's Day and happy Red Nose Day! The children have loved wearing their green and red, to mark the day, and have spent time discussing the significance of both. The children continued their exploration with water colours and used the techniques taught to create their unique designs. Take a look at them below. I F'ON also enjoyed their well deserved Golden Ticket reward afternoon with popcorn and a film. Fantastic! We have loved sharing the good news emails and photographgs as well and look forward to more. Next week, we look forward to learning more about the physical and human features of Ireland and learning all about the Liverpool Privateers. Have a wonderful weekend.

The Year 1 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
