Friday 18th November

Just like the title of the song, Children in Need 2022 saw plenty of yellow and spots around school. The children looked wonderful and we celebrated the day enjoying our Pudsey activities.

This week was Anti Bullying Week and on Monday we wore our odd socks to celebrate our uniqueness.

What a wonderful time we had at Knowsley Safari Park, on Thursday! The children were excited to see all the different animals and were interested and enthusiastic throughout. We are very proud of them.

Today, we continued using our positional and directional language when discussing our trip. We sequenced the events of the day and drew our own maps detailing where we had visited within the Safari Park.

In the week ahead, we look forward to learning even more about the animal kingdom. Please do contact us should you have any queries.

Have a lovely weekend.

Many thanks for your continued support.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
