Friday 19th November

Just like the title of the song, Children in Need 2021 saw plenty of yellow and spots around school. The children looked wonderful and we marked the day enjoying our Pudsey activities.

This week was Anti Bullying Week and on Monday we wore our odd socks to celebrate our uniqueness.

We completed some amazing art work too, observing feathers and noticing their similarities and differences. We were delighted when Miss Simons kindly brought in her array of owl feathers for us to see, from a sanctuary she had visited. It was a brilliant opportunity for us to use our fine nibbed pens and sketching pencils.

Great fun was had by all as we played a selection of games to consolidate our positional language before creating our own descriptive sentences.

In the week ahead, we look forward to Knowsley Safari Park, on Thursday. Please do contact us should you have any queries.

Have a lovely weekend.

Many thanks for your continued support.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
