Friday 3rd November

Welcome back! What a busy week we've had. We continued our marvellous mapping work.  Armed with our knowledge of aerial views, we mapped out our classrooms and look forward to adding our keys in the coming week. We commenced our Animal Kingdom topic and our story, Wombat Goes Walkabout. We discussed the Australian animals, within the story, and learned more about them. We also thought about Guy Fawkes and his significance. The children were interested to learn how a secret letter, given to King James 1, foiled the plot! Next week, we will think about different animal groups in advance of our trip to Knowsley Safari Park. If you have not yet bought the Set 2/3  Phonic Flashcards, they can be purchased, via Spider, and collected from the office.

Thank you for your continued support. Have a sparkling weekend!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
