Year 1 Blog 31.1.25

                                 Friday 31st January

The children were so excited to set up their Toy Museums and share their exhibits with their buddies. They were fabulous curators and had a wonderful time together. Our Year 5 buddies were enthusiastic visitors, keen to learn about the different artefacts.

Next week, we will consider how and why toys have changed from in living memory to now.

We continued thinking about the properties of materials and conducted our own investigations to find which ones might keep our teddy dry in the rain.

 Next week, is Children’s Mental Health Week with the theme, “Know Yourself, Grow Yourself”. We will consider the theme, over the course of the week. It will also be Storytelling Week, next week, and we will continue to enjoy them daily. Friday is Numbers Day, organised by the NSPCC, and we will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. The children will have the opportunity to dress as or wear numbers on the day. So much to look forward to!

Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
