Friday 9th December
This week, we have continued to learn the words to our Christmas songs, in anticipation of our trip to a local care home next Friday. We will need to be wrapped up on the day as we will be performing outside and the children are welcome to don a festive hat or hairband. The children have been introduced to the Christmas Alphabet song, a firm favourite with our audiences. It can be found on You tube and provides the lyrics to sing along to.
We also began our puppet projects and spent time trialling a variety of joining techniques. Our designs are now finished and we look forward to completing and enjoying them, next week.
We were so delighted to receive a beautiful book each, from church, and appreciate their generosity. We took the opportunity to share it in school before sending it home.
It was wonderful to see the Year 2 Nativity, on Tuesday, when we were reminded of the true meaning of Christmas.
We are all looking forward to a very eventful time, next week too. Monday, we will watch the SASWT Christmas Show, Wednesday we will enjoy our Christmas Dinner and on Thursday we will experience our very first Christmas Takeover Day! Friday, we remain in the festive mood, when we sing for our local nursing home. Can’t wait!
Have a lovely weekend.
Many thanks for your continued support.
