Year 1 Weekly Blog (13. 11. 20)

Date: 12th Nov 2020 @ 2:26pm

Friday 13th November

Just like the title of the song, Children in Need 2020 saw plenty of yellow and spots around school. The children looked wonderful and we celebrated the day enjoying our Pudsey activities.

We were also able to mark Remembrance Day, on Wednesday, with a special assembly led by our Y6 children.

Next week is Anti Bullying Week. On Monday, we look forward to wearing our odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

We will also continue our work identifying, naming, grouping and describing a variety of animals. We have been so impressed with the knowledgeable contributions made during our discussions so far.

We look forward to speaking with you during our ZOOM or telephone meetings, in the week ahead.

Have a lovely weekend.

Many thanks for your continued support.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
