Year 1 Weekly Blog (16. 7. 21)

Date: 15th Jul 2021 @ 11:54am

Friday 16th July

What a wonderful week we have had! The children thoroughly enjoyed the Year 6 show and appreciated all the time and effort that had gone into its production. Amazing!

We also spent time learning more about Joseph, his faith in God and his amazing multicoloured coat too.

We had a fabulous Friday! The weather held and our sensational Sports Day took place. The children had a wonderful time and were both enthusiastic and encouraging throughout.

Funfest 2021 took place in 1P, on Thursday, and the children had a wonderful time: playing instruments, making VIP passes and wristbands too. A special thank you to Mrs Brennan, and Georgina, for sharing their wealth of instruments with us. Rock on!

1O look forward to this treat, on Monday. Only three more sleeps until then.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Take care and thank you for all your support.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
