Year 1 Weekly Blog 16.12.22

Date: 16th Dec 2022 @ 4:28pm

 Friday 16th December

What an eventful week we have just shared! We continued our puppet project and look forward to adding the final flourishes, next week, before bringing them home to enjoy.

Christmas lunch was quickly followed by Our Christmas Take Over Day. The children had a fabulous time and we are very grateful to FOSLS for all their hard work in making it happen. Do take a look at the photographs capturing our day.

We also completed our carol rehearsals and took time to perform for our buddies. A Golden Ticket ensued.

Next week, we look forward to watching the Nativity, brought to us through Churches Together, and our church service on Wednesday.

Please can the children bring in a named bag, on Tuesday, to put their belongings into.

Many thanks for your continued support.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
