Year 1 Weekly Blog (20. 11. 20)

Date: 20th Nov 2020 @ 1:21pm

Friday 20th November

On Monday, the children wowed us with their sensational socks as we commenced Anti Bullying Week and wore our socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.
We also had the opportunity to view the wonderful thankfulness service led by Year 3. It gave us the opportunity to reflect and consider what we feel thankful for too.
This week, we continue our work identifying, naming, grouping and describing a variety of animals. We look forward to playing our animal Guess Who game, again, when we think of an animal and the other children ask questions to try and guess what it is.
We will also consider gift giving and discuss the kinds of gifts that don’t need wrapping.
Please could we ask that reading book bags are brought in daily with the reading record as well.
Have a lovely weekend.

Many thanks for your continued support.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
