Year 1 Weekly Blog (30. 4. 21)

Friday 30th April

This week, we enjoyed a variety of traditional tales as well as different versions of Jack and the Beanstalk. This certainly got us in the mood for sowing our class runner beans. We will observe their growth, over the coming weeks.

We will continue to think about parts of plants and trees in the weeks ahead, and compare and contrast deciduous and evergreen trees, including their leaves. We will complete observational drawings of them as well.

The Sustrans Big Pedal Initiative has now ended. Thank you for all your support.

If your child has pierced ears, we would ask that they refrain from wearing them, on a PE day, or cover them with plasters instead.

Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
