Year 1 Weekly Blog (9. 10. 20)

Date: 8th Oct 2020 @ 10:14am

Friday 9th October

We certainly made the most of the fine weather, on Wednesday, and completed our mile with gusto! A great achievement!

We went looking for signs of Autumn, around school, and look forward to continuing this in the week to come as the forecast is so favourable.

Next week, we will continue our final self- portraits and learn more about the artist Paul Klee.

We enjoyed sharing Have You Filled a Bucket Today? , by Carol McCloud, and will continue to discuss and reflect on our own bucket filling. We look forward to the FOSLS bucket filling challenge in the week to come as well.

Many thanks for your continued support.

The Year 1 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
