What an EGGCITING week we have had! We are sure you will have heard a lot about our new arrivals! We have had a very chick focused week and have all been absolutely loving it! To see how excited the chidren have been watching the eggs hatch and grow has been a wonderful experience for everyone.

In English we have been writing chick diares, closely observing the chicks' progress over the days - no doubt today's diary entry was the most exciting as the children were able to hold the chicks today!

We have continued with the fabulous Art Week - we had Last Act back in for a drama session and Outline Arts for a creative Art session.

The children really enjoyed the soccer superstar challenge, we had a brilliant time!

This term is very much science focused and we have continued researching habitats around the world and we discussed what a microhabitat is! We have also looked at different life cycles of animals.

In PE we have continued with orienteering and net and wall games.

If we didn't think our week could get any busier but we also had an excellent disco last night organised by the fantastic FOSLS.

Have a lovely weekend,

The Year 2 team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
