Year 2 Weekly Blog (02.12.22)

Date: 29th Nov 2022 @ 9:12pm

We've had a wonderful week in year 2, again getting in the festive mood with our nativity rehearsals. The children are all working so hard and we've had our first dress rehearsals this week. Today we were able to perform to our first audience, our buddies, which was really lovely for the children to be able to showcase all their hard work. They all did AMAZING! We're all ready to go for our performances next week and we can't wait for you to see!

In Maths we have been continuing to look at division and how to share equally in 2's, 5's and 10's. We've started to look at how the multiplication facts and division facts match up also i.e. 3 x 5 = 15 therefore 15 divided by 5 = 3.

In other areas we have been looking at Christmas and Hannukkah and have been creating our own Menorah's and Christmas booklets.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you at the Nativity!

The Year 2 team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
