Year 2 Weekly Blog (22. 4. 22)

Date: 20th Apr 2022 @ 10:13am

We hope you all had a pleasant Easter break.

We are all looking forward to the final term in Year 2 - we can't believe how fast this year has gone, how much the children have grown (both physically and intellectually!).

During the week, the children have been learning about their new topic: The Great Fire of London.  We were very impressed with how much the children already knew about the topic - we definitely have some keen historians in Year 2!

In Maths, the children have started to learn about how to collect and organise data into graphs, starting with pictograms.

We hope you enjoy the weekend - hopefully the sunny weather continues - and look forward to seeing you next week!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
