Year 2 weekly blog (9.6.23)

Date: 8th Jun 2023 @ 5:07pm

Welcome back! What a fantastic 3 days we have had, with our trip to Martin Mere topping it off! We had a brilliant trip, the sunshine was out for us and the activities Martin Mere planned were fab! Have a look through the pictures to see how we kick started our topic 'A walk on the wild side'! We then spent Friday morning discussing our trip and the children's favourite parts which they wrote about in their recounts. From the flamingos, to the newt, pond dipping, to the adventure playground... we had a smashing day!

We welcomed the children back hearing all about their holiday news, we loved hearing all about their adventures and the children wrote about these which was great to read through - some brilliant half terms!

In PE we focused on throwing and catching ready for our net and balls unit this term.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The Year 2 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
