26.2.21

Can you believe we only have one more week of home learning until we are all back together again in school?!? We are so excited.  In preparation for returning to school we would like you to organise all of your home learning to bring back into school. Hopefully you have been able to put everything into the books we sent home but, for those of you who initially had to work on paper, you may need to organise your work and stick it into the correct book. Could we also ask that if you have borrowed any resources from school you have them ready to bring back with you on the 8th?

On your return we would really like to celebrate how hard you have worked at home so we would like you to choose the piece of work you are most proud of and, on your first week back, we are going to mount that piece and put it up in our classrooms. Don’t worry if the piece of work is in your book as we will photocopy it for display. Just make sure you know which piece of work you would like displayed.

On Thursday next week it is World Book Day, unfortunately just a few days too early for us all to celebrate together. However, we have put a link on next week’s planner for you to have a look at some of the planned activities. There is also a David Walliams assembly on Tuesday morning for you to watch and English on Thursday is all about the book ‘Eighty Days Around the World’ by Jules Verne.

So, just five more days of home learning. Hang on in there as before you know it we will all be back together in our little Year 3 family. Five days and counting…….

The Year 3 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
