26.3.21

We have had the most wonderful 3 weeks with all of us back in together but the children are definitely ready for a holiday, especially one filled with chocolate and, more importantly, NO home learning!

It was fantastic to see all of the children wearing a hat of their choice today to support Brain Tumour Awareness. It’s amazing how one small accessory can reflect a personality so well and we loved the range on display in Year 3 from sparkles and unicorns to trendy boaters to a…..chicken! laugh A lovely day raising money for a really important cause.

This week we have had lots of fun creating and making our Easter cards, improving our skills in Rugby, learning to read new notes in Music and recapping all that we have learnt in Science about magnetism! We even managed to finish our class reader ‘Code Name Bananas’.

After half term could we ask that your child returns to school with a bottle of sanitiser and all of the equipment in their pencil case replenished. We will be coming back to our lovely Summer term topic ‘How Does Your Garde Grow?’ and are so looking forward to some great outdoor learning.

We wish you a wonderful, school work free holiday and we’ll see you back on Monday 12th April.

Happy Easter,

Love from the Year 3 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
