Another week... another school trip!

Y3 enjoyed their visit to the Roman Fort in Wrexham on Thursday. The children took a lot from this trip, it was a good opporunity for the children to really see what life was like as a Roman. We were also very lucky with the weather! Take a look at some of the photos.

We have complete our maths unit on perimeter. Next week, we will be learning about drawing and reading Pictograms!

In English, Y3 have planned their own narrative story, based on the story, Wisp. The children have changed the main character and altered the meaning behind the wisp! We are very much looking forward to reading the children's stories!

In PE, we enjoyed a sunny afternoon playing cricket (3H) and swimming (3R). Our indoor PE continues to be Roman Dance, ahead of our final dance lesson next week! We have been very impressed with some of the dance moves and sequences.

Home Learning - please continue to complete activities from the Home Learning grid. There is also maths homework set on Doodle which is a recap of 3-digit coloumn addition and subtraction with renaming.

Next week... DT week! The children will be planning and creating their own castles! A huge thank you to those who have already brought in old pieces of carboard - thank you. If you also have some used toilet rolls at home, those would come in handy also!

Enjoy your sunny weekend!

The Year Three Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
