Year 3 Blog - 10.6.22

Date: 10th Jun 2022 @ 2:18pm

10.6.22

Welcome back to the final half term of Year 3. Where has the year gone?

The children have returned this week full of excitement for our new topic - 'The Romans are Coming!' We have a trip to look forward to, Chariot making in DT and a Roman dance to choreograph in PE in just 5 weeks!

The highlight of this week has been our Jubilee picnic celebrating the 70 year reign of our Queen. We were blessed with sunshine and we were in fine voice belting out the National Anthem on the school field. What a way to start the half term!

Please note that our PE days have changed once again this half term. Both classes will have outdoor games on a Tuesday and indoor PE will stay on a Friday. Also your child will have brought home their new home learning grid for the half term today alongside an additional piece of Maths. Please support your child in answering the calculations

Have a great weekend,

The Year 3 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
