Year 3 Blog 15.12.23

Date: 13th Dec 2023 @ 9:33am

Another busy and productive week in Y3! Despite the children’s excitement for Christmas growing by the day… they have all worked extremely hard! In maths this week, the children have continued to multiply 2-digit numbers with renaming. We will then be moving onto dividing with renaming.

In English, Y3 are coming to the end of their persuasive writing. The children are set to create their own holiday brochure/leaflet to persuade readers to visit a prehistoric village.

The Y3 Christmas singing with Finlay Gordon from Liverpool Cathedral was amazing! The children all sang so well! Mrs Roberts and myself were so proud of the children! A very well done!

The Year 2 Nativity was fabulous! All of the children sat mesmerised as their younger friends put on an almighty show. It really is the greatest story ever told. This relates nicely to our current R.E. topic, Advent.

Next week is a busy one. December in a primary school is the place to be!

We have Christmas Takeover Day on Tuesday 19th December.

The day includes: mufti, breakfast with Santa, fun brunch, class parties, games, crafts and cookie decoration, secret room, Christmas movie and more! We are grateful to our fantastic FOSLS team fir putting together the Christmas Takeover Day.

One. More. Week… last push now to the end of our first full term in Y3!

Thank you for your continued support this term.

Have a great weekend everyone! See you all on Monday!

The Year Three Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
