Year 3 Blog - 8.7.22

Date: 8th Jul 2022 @ 5:03pm

08.07.22

Just a quick one this week. Although the weather Gods shone more positively on 3IR than 3WM all the children agreed that they had a brilliant time on our trip to Chester. We spent time in the classroom with Jennie learning all about the importance of Chester or ‘Deva’ as it was called in Roman times and the children got the opportunity to explore a number of interactive exhibits.
A rip-roaring time marching through the streets of Chester to the Amphitheatre where our Centurion guide took us through our military paces. Lunch in a Roman style taverna and time spent exploring the galleries. Please take a look at some of our photos. The children had a ball!
We can’t quite believe that we are entering the very last week of our time together in Year Three, however there is still lots to look forward to in our last week. We will be watching the Year 6 leavers show, celebrating with 3IR’s Golden Ticket party, enjoying a Forest School afternoon, walking to church to say goodbye to our friends and teachers that are leaving St. Luke’s for new adventures, finishing our DT and Art projects and so much more…
Please can all children bring a named plastic bag into school next week so that we can send any completed books home to you.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

The Year Three Team x

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
