What a way to end Mental Health Awareness Week! We have had the most amazing day in school led by Everton in the Community. From Dance to Managing our Emotions to Disco Bingo we have participated in so many activities to promote good mental wellbeing. The children were fantastic during all of the physical activities but they were also so mature when discussing over riding feelings and emotions that we all struggle with. It really was a great day and we believe the children gained so much through their participation.

Yesterday we had a whole day dedicated to our Science topic. We learnt all about pollination and seed dispersal and enjoyed taking part in a child led STEM activity involving the children fing a way to get their 'seed' as far from the mother plant as possible. It was Lewis, Olivia and Isla who managed to get heir seed the furthest using the methods of wind dispersal and explosion.

Monday will bring great excitement as our 'Living Eggs' are arriving in school. Due to the lockdown last year the children missed this vital experience therefore FOSLS kindly agreed to fund the living Eggs for 2 year groups this year. This also enables us to plug any Science gaps that they children may have due to last years lockdown. We are very 'egg-cited' and look forward to sharing our experience with you!

Enjoy the weekend,

The Year 3 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
