Year 4 Blog 10.4.24

Date: 10th May 2024 @ 1:24pm

We have had a shorter but busy week in Year 4.

In Maths, the children have been looking at converting units of length. They have been converting centimetres to metres, kilometres to metres and kilogrammes to grams.

In PSHE the children have been discussing communities, and the importance of being part of a diverse community.

In our Ancient Egypt topic in History, we have been looking at the role of the scribes and how important their jobs were.

In Art, the children carefully sketched their own picture of Tutankhamun’s death mask.

In PE the children have continued their Egyptian dance and enjoyed their athletics lessons, improving their long jump techniques.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

4C: Ethan Crick   4WM: Maisie, Evan and Isaac

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
