Year 4 Blog 14.6.24

Date: 14th Jun 2024 @ 1:52pm

The children have been ‘working their socks off’ this week! They are definitely ready for a relaxed weekend.

The children have been finding out about Europe. They have identified where European countries are located using an atlas. They have enjoyed looking at different landmarks and have been finding European rivers and mountains.

In Science, the children have been looking at how the digestive system works, and coming across lots of new vocabulary.

In PE, they excitedly enjoyed the start of their orienteering lessons and worked well to read and follow maps.

The children have completed their end of year assessments and their Times Table Check, so they should all be very proud of their positive attitudes and achievements.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

 4C: Izzy

4WM: The geography group, Frankie, Sarah, Henry, Evan, Emilia and Sam.

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
