Year 4 blog 20.5.22
Date: 20th May 2022 @ 2:30pm
The sun has been shining on us again this week, and Year 4 have been ‘on fire’ with their learning!
In Science and English, we’ve been looking at how environmental changes can endanger living things. The children have been looking at the impact and effects of both natural and man-made changes. They have been researching endangered animals, in order to create a non- chronological report based on their chosen animal.
During their guided reading lessons this week, the children have enjoyed finding ‘strange but true’ facts about animals.
In Maths, the children have continued to work with decimals, and have been looking at the value of each digit. They have also been rounding decimals.
In PE, the children developed their longjump techniques. Taking account of which leg they use as their lead leg and improving their landing techniques.
As artists, the children have continued their bird’s nest theme and have been using a variety of materials and construction methods, to build an inventive, sculptural nest.
Congratulations to this week's superstars: -
