Year 4 blog 5.7.24

Date: 5th Jul 2024 @ 10:50am

We’re still going strong in year 4, even though we are nearing the end of our school year!

In English, the children have planned and written their writing explaining the  digestive system, using lots of technical language and detail. They are going to share their super explanations with their buddies next week.

In Maths, the children have been working with

co-ordinates and plotting vertices of shapes onto a grid.

All the children happily contributed with skill, determination and enthusiasm during Sport’s Day, and luckily the rain was kind to us and stayed away!!

In Geography the children have been looking at climate zones within different European countries.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

4C: Isabelle      4WM: Clara

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning in Year 4.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
