Year 4 Blog 6.12.24
Date: 6th Dec 2024 @ 2:27pm
The excitement of Christmas began this week, as the children had the pleasure of watching the SASWT group’s Nativity on Thursday. This was a lovely lead up to the festive season.
In English, the children have been descriptive writers! They have written their own imaginative versions of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse from the Fox’s point of view.
In History, the children have been researching The Anglo Saxons, using secondary sources. The children realised it is important to consider all sources, to make sure they get as clear a picture as possible of the past.
They have also been using their research skills to find lots of information about this period in history, so they can each create an informative poster.
In Art, the children have continued working on their sketching skills and exploring ways to add texture to their work.
In RE, the children have been creating a variety of metaphors to describe the qualities of Jesus, through a light source.
In PE, the children have continued to improve their catching and throwing skills in tag rugby. They are definitely increasing the speed of their movements.
A ‘big’ well done to our Weekly Superstars: 4C: Sophia and Scarlett 4M.
Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.
