Year 4 blog 7.6.24

Date: 7th Jun 2024 @ 1:36pm

We have had a short but lovely start to the final half term of our school year.

In English, the children excitedly shared their half term experiences with each other.

In Maths, the children have been using their understanding of times tables, to improve their instant recall. They have been working to improve their times table knowledge, ready for their Multiplication tables check next week. They are all working their socks off!!

In Science, the children have enjoyed finding out about the workings of the digestive system and the processes our food goes through.

In PE, we have been improving our catching responses to improve our cricket skills.

In Geography, we even managed to begin our Europe topic, finding out which countries make up Europe.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

 4C: Esme

4WM: The group super sound investigators.

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
