Year 4 Blog 8.7.22

Date: 8th Jul 2022 @ 2:31pm

We’re still going strong in year 4, even though we are nearing the end of our school year!

In English, the children completed their innovations of the Great Kapok Tree, and what super ideas they came up with. The language and detail within their writing really ‘wowed’ us!

In Maths, the children have been sorting shapes and plotting points onto grids, using co-ordinates.

In computing they have been looking at Networking, and had a tour of school to see where the server and Network switches were located. They also spotted wireless access points along the way!

In Geography they have been finding out about the different layers of the rainforest.

Not to mention their magnificent Brass performance, we were very proud to play alongside them! We hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

4C: Max      4W: Layan

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
