Year 5 22.10.21
Date: 22nd Oct 2021 @ 2:29pm
This week we have continued to immerse ourselves in the classic poem "The Highway" by Alfred Noyes. We have reenacted parts of the story and used hot seating to understand the characters thoughts and feelings indrama before retelling parts of the story as the character Bess. The childrens' writing was amazing and so full of emotion whith phrases like, "sorrow pounded through my veins," and "My life was an endless dark abyss." WOW Year 5.
We continued sketching this week in the style of Charles Keeping, recreating scenes from the poem, using some of these for display. We also finished our Mayan jewellry which we made from modroc and acryllic.
It has been a fantastic half term. Enjoy the break and have a rest, but do try and have a little practise of your instruments.
