Year 5 Blog 11.2.22

Date: 11th Feb 2022 @ 2:23pm

In our production rehearsals, we have practiced our lines multiple times and read through the script as a whole. We have also continued to learn the songs, singing in unison adn solos.

In art, we have been inspired by Ben Nicholson and have been focusing on making a balanced sculpture. Some pictures can be found below.

In English, we have been writing diary entries as either an astronaut or an alien based on the trailer for the Planet 51.

We have also been watching a production done by reception that was based on the seasons of the year. We really enjoyed watching it and the children were amazing!

This week's Blog was written by Harry Craig and Jane Brigden 5JH.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
