Date: 13th May 2022 @ 3:02pm
For maths this week we have looked at reflecting and translating shapes by using mirrors and tracing paper. We also folded shapes to make lines of symmetry.
In English, we have written about and drawn red squirrels , looking at their lifestyle, habitats and diet, as well as making a red squirrel dictionary. We also re-wrote our myth action scene or monster description. In guided reading ,we used our red squirrels leaflets to research more about red squirrel's habitat and found more words and facts about them.
In history, we looked at the changes in Formby over the years by looking at how old and new some houses were. The oldest house was 1877.
For geography, we went to the pinwoods and the sand dunes to look at the animals( mostly red squirrels)and drawn a map of the pinewoods and the sand dunes, labelling human and physical features on them. (See the pictures below for us working on our maps)
In P.S.H.C.E, we met up with are buddies and looked at the plants and flowers, also looking at the signs of Spring.
