We had such good fun on our residential to York. First we got on the coach after we coming in to school at round about half past nine and got there at 11 after loads of fun on the coach. Then, we got off the coach  and took our luggage into the Youth Hostel Association (YHA) and sat in the courtyard to have our lunch. After lunch,we got introduced to are tour guides fom the YHA and had a lovely city walk were we visited the st Peters church, the york minster and the shambles After that, we went back through York, past the River Ouse and back to The YHA’s courtyard were we found out who was in our rooms. Later that evening  eat our dinner after that we went courtyard to make long ships out of wood and we played team games with are friends.

The next day, we got up at 7:45 and went down for breakfast at 8:30. Then,we went down to the courtyard and lined up ready to go back into the city centre. Once we got there we split it into two different groups and 1 half of the groups went to Jorvik centre and the other half went to the Dig centre. In Jorvik, we got to go on a awesome ride which we all saw how the Vikings lived their lives in their own different ways. Also in Dig, we got to find artefacts like human bones (not real just copied) and animal bones. Then, we went to The Shambles again to ask some pestrians about what they thought of York etc. Next, we went to York Minster to sketch and water colour the environment around us.Then, we went to a busy main road to do our traffic survey and went to a park to do our people survey. After we did our syrveys, we made are way back to the YHA were we had are diner, and then after diner we went the the classroom wich we made stainclass windows made out of colourful quality street wrappes, after that we went to are room to get some sleep at 9:30pm.

The final day was the best yet as we wnet back into the York to visit the Chocolate Story. We learned all about the history chocolate in York and even got to try and make some of our own. We then returned to the YHA and get on the coach ready to return home and tell all of our families about the fabulous time we had.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
