Year 6 Blog 14.2.25

Date: 14th Feb 2025 @ 2:27pm

Another half-term comes to an end. The children have worked very hard and we are appreciative of all of the support provided by parents and carers. Next half term, we will be looking at the Transatlantic Slave Trade as our history topic.

We have raised nearly £100 towards the coach to Dearne Valley with our first two weeks' worth of sales after school on Fridays. Thank you again to everybody who has supported us with books, teddies and during the bake-sale, so far.

We have sent out a Spider message about there being no formally-set home-learning, but please continue to support your child so that they are ready for part of the last 'big push' towards SATS after the half-term.

Have a great break and best wishes,

The Year 6 team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
