Year 6 Weekly Blog 8.11.24
Date: 8th Nov 2024 @ 9:47am
What a great first week back we have had in Year 6. The children have been refreshed and raring to go after their week off. We have started our learning about Ancient Greece, which will run through the half-term, looking at where this is in history, as well as looking at some of their myths and legens, in preparation for writing our own. In maths, we have continued our studies on fractions, looking at multiplying fractions, ready to divide fractions next week.
In science, we have recapped components in an electrical ciruit, with the children having great knowledge of their purposes. We have also begun to develop our tag rugby skills with Mr Smith.
We have also been preparing for the Remembrence Service which we shall be leading on next week. The children have worked hard to learn their lines, poems and othr words ready to lead this. A last reminder that parents will be able to come and join with us on Monday (Time on the Year 6 Class Page) and we would ask all children to wear a poppy for this occasion.
