Year6 Blog 17.11.23

What a fabulous week we have had in Year 6. We have brought our learning on fractions to and end in maths by looking at how we can divide fractions in a number of different ways. The children have also spent the week writing out their own Greek Myth... some of what they have written will send shivvers down your spine!

The children have got invoved well in the events this week, raising awareness of bullying on Monday with wearing their odd-socks and raising money for Children in Need near the end of the week.

A couple of children were selected to attend a Futsal tournament in Range High School led by their Young Sports Leaders. The players played well, showed great teamwork skills and respect to all involved and ended up coming away with the Gold Medals after some hard fought victories. Well done to all involved!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
