Please remember to apply sunscreen before school, a fresh bottle of water every day and remind your child to wear their cap at break times.

Home Learning

Welcome to our Year 3 Home Learning section.

Each Friday, your child will be set homework to complete on Doodle. Each child has their own username and password which can be found inside their reading record. This homework must be completed by the following Wednesday. On some weeks, your child may receive an activity sheet to do. This will replace their homework on Doodle for this week. Please read the weekly blog to check if homework has been set on Doodle for that week.

As well, your child should complete the Half Termly Home Learning Grid. This contains non-negotiable tasks and 4 others which should be completed by the end of this half term. Please support your child in completing the daily non-negotiable tasks in Reading, Spelling, Maths and Life Skills.

Your child will receive stamps in their album for each piece of homework submitted.

Completing homework at home plays a vital role in reinforcing the skills and concepts taught in class. It provides an important opportunity for your child to practice independently and deepen their understanding.

When children consistently complete their homework, it makes a significant difference in their progress and confidence. Your encouragement and involvement can truly help set them up for success and we greatly appreciate all your support.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
