Please remember to apply sunscreen before school, a fresh bottle of water every day and remind your child to wear their cap at break times.

Home Learning

Welcome to our Year 3 Home Learning section.

Each Friday, your child will bring home their Blue Home Learning Book, with the Half Termly Home Learning Grid inside. Please support your child in completing the daily non-negotiable tasks in Reading, Spelling, Maths, and Life Skills. In addition, there are four topic-related tasks that can be completed at a time that works best for your family. The entire grid should be finished by the end of this half term.

Your child will also bring home a weekly maths sheet and spelling sheet every Friday. These should be completed and returned by the following Wednesday.

To further support learning, your child can access Doodle Learning and TT Rockstars at home. There will be no longer be weekly assignments to complete on Doodle. Any passwords needed to access online learning platforms can be found in your child’s yellow reading record.

Your child will receive stamps in their album for each piece of homework submitted.

Thank you for your continued support.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
